About Me

Hi! I'm Diego, a passionate software developer and technology enthusiast. Since I started back in 2014 I have built a solid background, including a Higher Vocational Degree in Multiplatform Application Development and a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

I have worked at companies such as Deloitte and KPMG doing data analysis and IT audit, always looking for new challenges and opportunities to contribute to technological progress.

I would describe myself as responsible, dynamic and adaptable. I enjoy teamwork and creative problem solving, and my goal is to build innovative solutions with a positive impact on society.

2000Born in Madrid, Spain
2014I take my first steps into computing and programming and build my first game in Scratch View
2020I complete the Intermediate Vocational Degree in Microcomputer Systems and Networks and start building my first projects.
2022I complete the Higher Vocational Degree in Multiplatform Application Development together with the Higher National Diploma in Computing, and start working as a Data Analyst at Deloitte.
2022 - SepLooking to move my career forward, I leave Deloitte to join KPMG as a Junior IT Auditor. I also start getting into Data Science and begin a Master's in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Universidad Europea de Madrid.
2025I continue my journey at DENTSU, keeping up my ambition and training in new technologies.

Data Engineer

In my current role as a Data Engineer at Dentsu I design and build robust, scalable data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation and efficient exploitation of large volumes of information. I take part in defining data architectures for advanced analytics and reporting, optimise ETL/ELT processes guaranteeing quality, consistency and performance, work closely with business and analytics teams to ensure data availability and reliability, and apply best practices in data governance, automation and monitoring to improve operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Data Analyst Senior II

As a Senior II in the Data & Analytics area I led the growth of the department, driving innovation and the implementation of scalable solutions. I managed the planning, tracking and delivery of audit projects, coordinating teams and communicating directly with clients, guaranteed the integrity of accounting data through thorough validation processes, and optimised audit and data-analysis processes using computer-assisted techniques and advanced tooling.

In this role I led the migration to Azure Databricks and the development of strategic applications for the audit department, optimising processes with Python and PySpark and managing key data for Data Analytics and Financial Audit on SQL Server and Alteryx. I was also responsible for client communication and data management.

Migration of systems from SQL Server to Azure Databricks using Python and PySpark, data preparation with Alteryx and web application development with Python and Django. I also processed data for analysis and financial audit, supporting informed decision-making and improving efficiency and scalability.

Data Analyst and Python specialist for a Spanish financial institution, in charge of strategic data analysis for decision-making.
